Appel à la participation : Recherche d’infirmiers·ères et cadres dans le domaine des soins pour une étude sur l’environnement de travail

Chers infirmières et infirmiers,

Je suis Catherine Theves, étudiante en Master « International Health and Social Management », et je réalise actuellement ma thèse sur l'environnement de travail du personnel infirmier. Dans le cadre de cette étude, je suis à la recherche d'infirmiers·ères et de cadres dans le domaine des soins volontaires pour participer à un entretien afin de partager leurs expériences et leurs perspectives sur ce sujet crucial.

Cette recherche vise à explorer les différents aspects de l'environnement de travail des infirmiers, y compris les défis rencontrés, les (in)satisfactions professionnelles, les politiques et les pratiques organisationnelles qui influent le travail au quotidien. Je souhaite également donner la parole aux directeurs de soins, aux gestionnaires de département et à tous ceux qui occupent des postes de responsabilité dans le domaine des soins infirmiers.

La participation à cette étude implique une entrevue individuelle (LU, FR, DE) d'une durée d’une heure. Toutes les informations fournies resteront strictement confidentielles et anonymes, et ne seront utilisées que dans le cadre de cette recherche académique.

Si vous êtes intéressé·e à contribuer à cette étude en partageant votre expertise et votre vécu en tant qu'infirmier·ière ou cadre, veuillez me contacter pour de plus amples informations ou pour fixer un rendez-vous d'entretien. Votre participation serait extrêmement précieuse pour une meilleure compréhension de l'environnement de travail dans le domaine des soins de santé.

Abstract

Health system performance assessment aims to evaluate and improve the ability of health systems to meet their key objectives, including access, efficiency and quality of care. Primary care is an integral part of the health system, with the potential to improve performance. The APPEAL project investigated the individual and health system factors associated with access, efficiency and quality of care, with a particular focus on primary care, using data from Luxembourg and other European countries. This workshop will present the main results of the APPEAL project and facilitate a discussion on the implications of the research for the Luxembourg health system.

Abstract

Quality of life is both a multidimensional concept and the essential objective of paediatric palliative care. The MOSAIK study, whose acronym stands for Move to Open Shared Advanced Interventions for Kids with Life-Limiting Conditions, focused on the development of a family-centred outcomes measure for assessing quality of life in children and their parents. The field-study used mixed
methods and a strong collaborative approach that involved all stakeholders. How can nursing education curricula best implement the options for maximizing higher QoL in nursing students? And which specific competencies gained from clinical work and research in paediatric palliative care can be transferred to nursing students but also to ordinary life?

About Prof. Dr. Marie Friedel

Prof. Dr. Marie Friedel has served as a full professor at the University of Luxembourg since November 2022. She is the Director of two Bachelor’s programmes in nursing sciences: one in paediatric nursing, the other in mental health. Her mandate, which she shares with her colleague Prof. Dr. Laurence Bernard and their team, is to create and implement new Bachelor’s degrees and research programmes in nursing science. Trained as a paediatric nurse, she holds an inter-university degree in paediatric palliative care (Université Claude Bernard, France), and a Master and PhD in Public Health (Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium). For 20 years before joining the UL, she was a lecturer at the Nursing and Midwifery Department at the Haute Ecole Léonard de Vinci in Brussels. She is also a scientific collaborator at the Institute of Health and Society (UCLouvain, Belgium) and a regular invited lecturer at the Université catholique de Lille (France). As a peer reviewer in several scientific journals in paediatric palliative care, she has extended national and international collaboration in her research field. Marie loves building bridges between people, disciplines, and countries.
